Bad news for you, I start a few weeks of nights soon and my wife tells me I get a little grumpy when on nights, I wonder if you will still be here by the time I finish them :D

Just for a brief foray back to the topic, yep, I'm having my flu jab next week, courtesy of my employers who obviously feel that the outlay is worth it in terms of the manhours missed through illness. Incidentally there are over 400 staff at our place and only about 40 have requested the jab. Seems a bit daft not to when it's free and I get bad laryngitis in winter so it may keep that at bay!

On another note , all the bitchiness and nonsense on this thread have once again reminded me why I am no longer a frequent visitor to what used to be a really entertaing, fun website.Schoolyard name calling and dumbass conspiracy theories have ruined it.:(

Re: vaccine shot

I had my 'flu jab today, the district nurse who comes to see my wife had arranged for both of us to have it at home. I wasn't bothered about having one but the nurse persuaded me to.
Since having my evening meal I have started having a bad headache and feeling drowsy.
Maybe it is because of the jab, maybe not, but it's too late to worry now, it isn't the two pints I have just had because they don't normally affect me.

Thanks for your input lindsay, so your having the jab because your boss thinks it's a good idea, it's free, an it may keep your laryngitis at bay?

You may want to ask yourself why 90% of your workmates refused the jab

If you can be arsed to read my post and not make stupid assumptions I said that it was offered to employees, it's not compulsory, same as we get offers for gyms and the like. I've had it today and can tell you it cost my employers about £20 which they are happy to pay as obviously it might mean I won't be off sick, and for me, I couldn't get it free as I'm not asthmatic so its a no brainer really. If you don't want it , fair enough, as it isI have a slightly sore arm and the hope that I won't get flu in the next 12 months and it's cost me nowt. Who's the winner......
