I had a little think an i cringe if i see someone fall while ice skating because i have a fear of a ice state going over there fingers :eek: I'm also afraid of anything happening to my nearest and dearest ( I can't believe i missed that, i assume we all get that tho) not a phobia i know but it's certainly a fear.

Seen in happen on Olympic ice rink in Grenoble, must have been about 1981(?) school exchange trip, visit to the ice rink and some kid got their hand run over by a speed skater, messy, we had to get off the ice whilst the casualty was dealt with then they sent some machine on to clean the ice up. Kid lost 3 fingers, don't know if they saved any.They do teach you to wear gloves and pull your fingers in though. |
