I don't consider Obama to be a superman, but there is a political precedent -

Maggie won an election after 'glory' of war won in the Falklands.

The presidential donation of trillions of dollars for reconstruction following this hurricane would win him some votes in that area.

If I recall correctly from Lorenz's Chaos Theory, it was a butterfly flapping it's wings in Brazil that caused the tornado in Texas. Who, therefore, has farted in Accy to cause all this on the US East Coast? C'mon...own up...there's nowt to be ashamed of.
