oh i get it now, only post on less thread if you agree 100%, 95% aint enough
the spoons was your response to my post i believe, instead of allowing a fellow member to have their say, you just shot em down for having an opinion that differs slightly

Would you like to have a go at me too - cos something similar had crossed my mind as ChurchFC posted.

Have you ever seen these kids? Or are you simply assuming that they wear cheap masks from the pound shop?

i deffinatley have, is that relevant?
the fact that tghey are wearing a mask that is now way out of date as far as pop culture goes

Surely both of you should just butt out and let folk with real feelings answer the thread?

So having a contrary opinion does not count as having real feelings? No one said you were wrong, subsequent posts have just added caveats and different thoughts to what you said, no one has shot your thoughts down in flames.

And yes, if you cut me in half you will find "cynical" written through like a stick of rock - I get it from my dad who was the most cynical person I know.

Do you know, I get the feeling that you might just bare a grudge for something I don't give a damn about.

Now do I tell you to sod off, or just suggest you go away in short jerky movements?

Or would you consider it hurtful?

Yeah it's relevant, may be why she is being so cynical....you however have zero excuse....

So the costumes are old...owner of the shop probably saw them going cheap at some auction or other and had an idea about putting them to good use and employing a couple of kids.

But hey if it floats your boat to think of a couple of hard working youngsters as con artists, its your perogative.

that not what i originally said is it now, another who needs to actually read, i questioned the reason and offered 2 of my alternatives for the reason, no one picked up on the other reason, here is another the employer may actually think its more eye catching

Oh I can read.....

'however the more cynical side thinks, its so the social dont know they are working and signing on'

Like I said..if it floats your boat etc...

Do you know I've been in bother with folk on here for posting the opposite of what they want to think, but when I started this thread about young people out in all weathers I didn't think it would be anything but praise for them being in public view working hard at probably a job they had to have several GCSE's just to get an interview, just show's how nasty some of our members can be, I'd hoped for encouragement so that others might follow their example.

Yeah I know, more fool me.

Yep you do go a long way off course just to hold a grudge, do you sit on your own at break time at work? Probably nothing to do with your deodorant, just that people don't like you.

;)

P.S. anytime you're ready Mr. Mod prune the thread down so sensible people can say, 'yes kids of today only need the chance to work'.

Actually no, I haven't seen them as I live 40 miles away and come to Accrington once in a blue moon. My thoughts occurred to me as soon as I first read Less's post, and before I knew about the masks, costumes or whatever.

My cynical mind wondered if they might possibly, just possibly be being exploited - or possibly not. If the latter is the case, then good on them for having a job and I am in full agreement with Less - but surely someone has to point out the possible flaws in any scenario?

You do realise that gem will probably be removed with the rest of the tat that has ruined this thread?

Meanwhile karma on it's way for it.
:D

Nasty remarks = 'Fun thread'

I just don't see any humour in these so called 'fun threads' you inflict on us now and again.
