Is what the torys are proposing, fer Murder of police officers or prison officers, Is this a good idea? I aint so sure, My own view is a person doing life without parole, is n increased threat to prison officers n other inmates, So fer me the only sensible option is "Top Em".

If all life is precious then it shouldn't matter what a victims job was, all murderers surely should be treated equally. No parole at all no matter whom you killed.

so why not life means life for murdering a baby or a anyone at all .What makes police officers and prison guards so special that tehir murder is more horriffic ?

If a fireman dies in a blaze started by an arsonist isn't that as important a murder as any other uniformed job? A train driver because someone put a concrete block on the rails?
On and on goes the list.
Unfortunately, there aren't any signs of common sense in such a change of law.

I think we should do what they do in the US. Life means life and the jail conditions harsh. If there is a higher risk to prison guards then, I'm sure, safeguards could be put in place somehow. Long termers shouldn't get cushier treatment just because they have a life sentence. Also, I don't think police killers should be made special cases - all life is precious. All murderers /lifers should get the same treatment.

Nah, I couldn't be so common, like so many more like him that is the sort of thing they expect from what they conceive me to be, which shows their lack of imagination, rather than what I'm really like.
(What I'm really like I won't expand upon, I like the idea of being a disgrace to my profession, it's so much better than being a disgrace to humanity).

Totally agree with you Less, when they did away with the death penalty in the sixties they should have replaced it with life imprisonment full stop. I have never been able to understand why any judge gives out a life sentence then adds a minimum term, they may as well say 30 years because life doesn't mean life in our courts, I think there are only two people serving a full life tariff at the moment, one is the chap who killed Mily Dowler can't remember the other

No that's the encouraging statement from the Bank of England that the Economy is doing far better than expected, C'Mon slinks away kicking the cat because there is good news which doesn't fit his needs of slaging off the government:p
