Thankyou for that.

It may be that our younger members are not aware of what was done in the name of freedom and how many lads and lasses lost their lives so that we could live in peace in our country.

That peace is threatened at the moment by yob's who do not know any different and the plot seems to be lost.

Police have the powers to stop this but the power they have is undermined by the powers that be and the lack of 'Street Wise' magistates who administer the law.

I choose to live outside the UK. not because I have fallen out with my country of birth but by choice....The sun has a lot to do with it.

In Spain if you give a police officer a load of lip you will get a belt round the ear and if you don't stop when told to you will be shot.

I think there should be a dedicated panel of Magistates and Judges who
specialise in anti social behavoir and don't take any notice of the meanderings of the defence lawyers ' He or She was from a broken home'
That is tripe.............I was from a home that lost my father, so what.

Iv'e said enough.

Yes, Respect too to both of them Royboy, both my Grandfathers (no longer with us) fought in the war.

This film is an iconic movie, how can you remake it. Okay so we can get some glitz and make the CGI look great, then it may be as good as Pearl Harbour, or U-571 (which tells the story of how the Americans found and decoded the Enigma Machine, funny that I thought it was us and the Poles!).
Hollywood would not make a film in which there where no American Heros, and as for calling the dog, niger, that would be a big no no.

Apparently in the U.S. the dog's name in the original, classic film was redubbed to 'Trigger'. Though Peter Jackson is quoted as saying that in the re-make the name of the dog is still undecided.

Since this film is based on an actual events, and real people, a spade should be called a spade, and Guy Gibson's dog should be called Nigger, because that is what it's name was.

Can't say I have ever heard the dog called Trigger ,whenever the movie is shown on late night US TV or the History channel the dogs name is allways 'beeped' out .

They'll probably write the dog completely out of the story - save on the arguments.

Calling the dog Beeped Out is just plain silly.

Then again, they could always be politically correct and make it a gay dog.
