Yes my dad was called Jim.....or Jimmy, he used to answer to both.
He was a lovely feller.....I know I am bound to say that, I am biased.

This thread goes to prove one very important thing Margaret.
I'm not loosing my mind. It must have been in the '70,s when I last went to see your dad a few times with my mate and I still remember his name.

Long term memory stays, it's when you can't remember why you've just walked into the lounge, where you put your cup of tea down 3 minutes ago, etc.

I think I lost my mind recently, can't remember where or when.:o

Yes Gordon you are right...your long term memory gets sharper and your short term memory gets very fuzzy.

I don't think I would recognise Philip now as it was a long long time ago, and we have all changed shape since school.
