I think that is a fair appraisal. Many of those coming into Europe are single men who have either destroyed their documents(maybe hoping to be accommodated in Nordic countries as an unaccompanied 'child' migrant - authorities have been told to accept them as a 'child' as long as they appear to be under 40. No medical checks or dental checks to disprove this are done for fear of being discriminatory) or are travelling on false documents.

Also the Dublin agreement is for refugees to make application for residence at the first country where landfall is made, is being totally ignored.

If refugees get to Turkey( a country where the population is largely Muslim) and far less hostile...with an understanding of the culture etc then why would refugees not settle there?

The case where the two young Syrian toddlers and their mother drowned was a case in point. They had been living in Turkey for 4 years, yet embarked on a journey to take them to Europe.
they were not refugees, but economic migrants.

Eric, I do not know what the answer is...except I do know it is not to have this large influx of middle eastern people coming to European countries and expecting to be made welcome.
The people from these countries have tribal cultures(which is why the fight to introduce democracy has been such a failure).
I feel like a foreigner in my own land. I feel as if their needs are ahead of the needs of the people who were born here.

I am being totally honest in my opinion. I am saying it how I see it and how the people that I socialise with and meet in my day to day life see it.

looking at the pictures, those who appear to be the more intimidating & sinister all hooded & masked in black, apparently are those "Peaceable, loving lefties", the "good guys"? No, really? While those despicable racist, nazi types are at least quite easy to be picked out from the crowd especially with their funny haircuts, flags & waving arms.

I know well enough which of the above worry me the most.

I have said in a previous post.....if you feel a post is unsuitable (for whatever reason)then report it, but you declined that advice as you wanted those who had posted such stuff to be seen as intellectually inferior. (or that is what it seemed like)
You, meantime, were making personally disparaging remarks about moderators.

A rather unfortunate choice of words there DtP, the Halo is getting a bit of a tarnish there fella.

Flotsam = people or things that have been rejected or discarded as worthless.

Jetsam = unwanted material or goods that have been thrown overboard from a ship and washed ashore, especially material that has been discarded to lighten the vessel.
