I think he had requested it.
His Legal representative said it was nothing to do with the Coroner where the ashes were scattered.
They have yet to find a funeral director(and a crem) to handle his disposal. When Myra Hindley died the prison service could not find a funeral director willing to deal with the disposal and eventually one was fooun something like 200 miles away from where she died.

I think he did too. His lawyer also said his will was a private matter but wills once probated are not private.Anyone can request a copy for a fee ofcourse so someone will eventually know the contents of the will. no doubt a newspaper.

well said, Margaret I think that you speak for the majority of people in this country today!!

& PS, I think his ashes should be put out for the binmen, no way scattered on any public place, let alone Saddleworth Moor!

I am not sure that the binmen should be asked to do such a dirty job.
My instinct would be to leave him on the top for the crows to pick(obviously, this is NOT a practical possibility)...I think he might turn the stomach of a carrion crow.

His ashes should be flushed down the drain.

put his ashes in to a cheap coin box from poundland and give them as a parting gift to the EU ..

I wouldn't even spend a pound on a tin.
I have a very large empty mayonnaise jar that would do the job nicely.

His body was released today to his next of kin.....his solicitor. who would own up to be a relative...not me

Re: Ian Brady dies

I don't think he has any living relatives.
The solicitor is acting as executor of his will...he will be being paid for what he is doing and will have no emotional attachment.
It must mean that a funeral director has been found,to effect the disposal or his body would not have been released.
