the above is a reply I have had from Tesco...so it did not go into the spam file.
Watch this space.

A shopping update.
Aldi had much more stuff on the shelves this morning, though no paracetamol, babies nappies were in short supply...and no kitty litter. beer shelves had been raided
Lidli was well stocked with fruit and vegiies, bakery was closed...plentiful supply of meat cheese, milk and dairy.

Poundland had a few packs of Horlicks Farm Mature Cheddar at a quid.
fultons had a supply of different cheeses but they were larger packs so a bit more money(OK...Pay more, get more)

all you,ll need with all this cheese you are buying is stocking up on eggs and rice and you,ll be able to sell your toilet rolls on to those who would need it.

This is a further response I have had from Tesco...the only supermarket that has responded.

Dear Margaret

Thank you for contacting our Chief Executive.

We find ourselves in an unprecedented situation, where we need to react very quickly to changes in circumstances for our staff and our customers. We recognise that some situations are far from ideal, but we are listening to our customers and government announcements to meet as many of our customers’ needs as possible in these challenging times.

We always want to help support our NHS heroes who helping us all at these difficult times and we are always wanting to show them our appreciation. Thank you for your suggestion whilst the current situation is happening and I have put this forward, on your behalf, to the business partners.

Thanks for your understanding and feedback.

Kind regards,

COVID is scary, but if we continue to be healthy and clean ourselves always then we can combat this together.

I'd like to respectfully (or disrespectfully, whichever way you look at it) offer a suggestion to all of you who are in a forced lockdown, and maybe want something to do. Why not get your fingers a-tapping and write a blog for Accyweb - or post a few controversial subjects that we can debate. Just a suggestion.

Re: Corona Virus

Yes...that would be good.
Tell us how you are managing.
Give us any hints and tips....especially those that would help us stop contemplating doing bodily harm to our other half and their irritating ways(we all have them).
I am going to try and do a daily blog....so there you go....that gives you the opportunity to either read it or avoid it.
What I would like to say is....stay safe, but live cheerful, not fearful.

Cashy, much has been made of this, but there is nothing to say that he did not pay to have this done privately.
The Royals are not known for using the NHS...people have ASSUMED that he has had this done on the NHS, but we do NOT know for sure.

Both the Queen and Prince Philip are elderly and as such are at risk from this virus, so it is sensible that he is tested so that he does not pass the virus on to either of them.

As far as testing...well everyone should be tested so that the extent of the virus can be more accurately determined.
All NHS labs have been geared up to do nothing only coronavirus testing in the coming weeks.
The current management is like trying to determine where a fire is by smelling the smoke.
