Re: Anybody into WWE
Yes there is entertainment value to it but is the cost worth it?

Re: Anybody into WWE
welllllll thats to the entertainers risk...
back in the 80's there was a drive to shut it down based on health of the athlete's but nope thing is back in those days u just had ur standard sted's etc but now u have soo many different muscle makin products most that are illegal that olympic athlete's get away with using em let alone wwe stars... and with vince bein vince i'm sure there's "necessary" pressure applied to make a wrestler think twice about not using em HHH has only toned down now after becomin vince's son in law knowin he's contract safe... |
Re: Anybody into WWE
just watching raw now and it started with a tribute to eddie , its repeated later in the week
aww the big show just came down to his match still crying from the tribute i suppose after all theyears they spend on the road together they become just like family to each other |
Re: Anybody into WWE
Not exactly a happy family but a family when they are far from their own. They also know it could have easily been them.

Re: Anybody into WWE
I don't mind admitting I shed quite a few tears myself last night while watching the tributes to Eddie. The pure hurt and loss in the eyes of his wrestling mates was unbearable, because that's what he was in essence, to us as fans he was a wrestling superstar and an excellent entertainer, but those guys last night had lost a very close friend! He really will be sadly missed!

Re: Anybody into WWE
Eddie's body is scheduled to be returned to his home
in Phoenix, AR, by private jet tomorrow following an autopsy in Minneapolis. Funeral arrangements are set for Wednesday in Scottsdale. Eddie had just moved his family to Phoenix from central Florida. Phoenix resident and WWE legend Superstar Billy Graham has been asked by the family to conduct the service at his church. The WWE hosted a press conference this afternoon at Target Center with Eddie's nephew Chavo and Vince McMahon. Chavo said that Eddie didn't respond to a wake-up call shortly after 7am so he and security at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center forced their way into his room and found him laying on the bathroom floor. Chavo said he performed CPR but couldn't revive him. There were no apparent signs of foul play. Vince McMahon talked about what a loss the death of Eddie is to his family, the WWE locker room, and to all his fans around the world. He called him a wonderful fun-loving human being and a consummate performer that few could excel to. He said that Raw and Smackdown this coming week will be tribute shows for Eddie and that everyone in the company has the option of whether to work or not. He also noted that Eddie's family will continue to receive WWE royalties forever. Chavo said that Eddie would have wanted the show to go on tonight so everyone else could feed their families. He said that just the other day Eddie told him that he was celebrating four years of sobriety following his previous battles with well documented demons. |
