ive started going out in manchester alot as there is soo much to do...pubs, clubs massive cinema, and id advise anyone to go check out the new bands that are popping up not just in manchester but all around, i recently went to the cellar bar in blackburn and watched a band called..ad nauseum who are really good...not everyones taste but hey you cant please everyone!! xx

im dont exactly fit in in the celler bar as im what most in there would call a townie but always had a laugh when im there apart from when a band is on the band is free to charge what it wants on the door even though you dont have to pay it according to the bar staff i didnt know this until after ive me and my mates had forked out 3 quid each and didnt even watch the band . As for manchester it depends where in manchester im guessing if you like the celler bar and groups like that your on about rockworld and from what ive heard if you look older than 14 dont go lol

Actually im an all rounder!!! I can happily listen to anything!!! ive only been to rock world once!! I love dancing so ill go wherever the music is good!! i used to go to the voodoo lounge a lot in acyy as it played 70s music on a sat night and im definatly a disco chick!! although id happily label myself as a rock chick if the need arose!! lol

preferred the voodoo on sundays RnB night , not sure but the celler bar was doing RnB nights on fridays before xmas and if you really want to be a rock chick try upstairs in the napier lol thats an experience they are all decent people though and usually a good laugh a lot off the blackburn version of this site gather in there or work there

I used to go in the napier a lot!!! i know a few of the guys who still go there!! I know one of the guys who works behind the bar.. and a friend of mine dj's there sometimes!! not a bad place but it takes a while for my hearing to return!!! Hey any idea when jumping jacks is supposed to re-open??? its got a new name hasnt it??

no idea when its opening but its meant to be a lava ignite club like the one in burnley it cant be any worse than jumpin jaks no matter what sort of club it is and blackburn needs something new with all the bars closing down . Cubes was one of my favs but they turned that into that lap dancing club then they ve shut marleys and now the malt and hops looks closed and also heard moist has closed

I went in jumping jacks once and ran screaming out!!! My brother used to go in all the time, i have absolutly no idea why.. it kinda reminded me of a disney themed ride...like "the woodcutters" or something like that... i used to go to cest la vie which was a real classy joint... ever been there?? yeah i think i went in cubes... which was the club with the bubbles???

Maybe you should all get together on a Saturday Night and take turns to choose a venue......club together and get a minibus or something...... then you could maybe do online reviews.....you know the kind of thing...price of drinks, atmosphere, entertainment value etc. before you know it you would be getting free invites to places so that you could publicise their venue and having fun into the bargain!

first time i went jumpin jaks was the third week it opened after gareth gates had been the week before , i went in at 11 to find no more than 20 people inside and got pestered for the next hour off staff to have a balloon or a whistle after numerous times of being asked one of my mates told em politely if they asked again he d shove the whistle up there A** and we left didnt go back for ages but it did improve just a pity the music didnt and went cest la vie at xmas ive been monroes , wigan pier and most of the other clubs in the north west but never seen out like that when they started moshing lol and that music gave me a banging headache even went back to the napier upstairs to chill out lol and dont know with the bubbles was it never never land or as most call it never never again
