It seems like they're in worse conditions than they would be in prison. I can imagine the European Human Rights bods would have something to say if we tried that here.

The thing I have is, if someone has actually been rehabilitated and dosn't intend to commit the crime again (if they do intend it they shouldn't be let out) then they shouldn't have the threat of vigilantly on them. Which we all know would happen if they were named and shamed.
Somebody who *looks* like someone who has been named could also get persecuted as was the case a few years ago. Its a horrible crime, and we certainly shouldn't be soft on it, but I feel that a lot of people overlook it as a simple black and white case where they should just be named so everyone can protect their children which is of course all a parent wants, but its really not as simple as people make out. |

well if the poll is 55-3 and anything like the view of the british public? the only message from government is you can all get STUFFED, we aint gonna do it.:rolleyes: of coarse they say it in better language but it means the same.
