Al-Qaeda plotter jailed for life
An al-Qaeda plotter who planned to kill thousands of people in the UK and US has been sentenced to life and told he must serve at least 40 years in jail. So this would be terrorist has been jailed. Good! But how long will it be before some other distracted group of terrorist loonies decide to take hostages in an attempt to blackmail the authorities into releasing him?

And how long do you reckon it'll be before some civil liberties groups start whinging that because he didn't actually kill anybody, his sentence is unduly harsh?
