Community Wardens
Well the axe has now fallen on the Community Wardens,half their number have received termination of employment notices.
As ever Christmas time was the chosen announcement date.... I am sure the Hyndburn community will suffer as a result of this underfunding,the eyes and ears of law enforcement have now been reduced to a token force.How will this effect the reporting of criminal activities? Well we will have to see. |

Did'nt really see the wardens in our area that much but on the odd occasion that I did they were always very nice, stopping and talking to the kids and everything so I am sure that they were doing a worthwhile job.

The community wardens in Accrington did a calendar with themselves posing in a "pin up" fashion if ya follow me...
