I dont go to my corner shop,, its double the price of Tesco,,, which is only down the road..

yeh i find corner shops a right rip off, i go to asda instead

Our post office is the same. My daughter went in there the other day and as they haven't seen me for a while the chap behind the counter asked her if I was OK.

Whilst individual items may be slightly dearer by the time you add up the petrol/time and also the fact that in the supermarkets you tend to pick up stuff you didn't go in for(heh, How many times do you hear I only came in for a loaf and spent £20) Its 'cheaper' to go to the corner shop and buy just what you were short of.

That is a good point and so true. I use the corner shop/grocer when I need to but sadley I do more often than not hit the local supermarket. There is that friendly personal touch at the local corner shop that you can never match at Asda Tesco Morrisons Sainsbury's etc. Maybe it could be seen as a damning inditement of what we have become ie slaves to big stores.

corner shops will soon be thing of the past just like the milkmen are going .which supermarket will be the first to have a post office on site ?they have chemists and banks some you can even get your holidays from.
