More than half of teachers say 'many of our pupils have never heard a bedtime story' | Mail Online
Teachers are saying that many pupils have never heard a bedtime story, did you,
Well I did occasionally, but I can remember my mum sitting me on my potty and telling me ghost stories

You'll get one tonight, if you want it..."we have a realistic and costed plan to reduce the national debt". It's a bit far fetched, even for a fairy story, but you'll be sound asleep after you've heard it three times over.

We got that little gem as well. A mate of mine got 'Up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire, down Sheet Street and round Blanket Corner'

Ah, more innocent times...

Been attempting Wind in the Willows with a couple of my Grand kids when I'm babysitting, They might still be a bit young for it but I'm enjoying it.

They do ask for it though when I turn up so maybe I'll be able to read it again when they get a little older and can understand even more?

Basically Bedtime stories should be fun for all, if you're bored with it, the chances are so are they.

Re: Did you

Yes - I was read to when young and always read to my son at bedtime. I think the problem is that most kids have a TV in their room now and would rather watch that
