F.A.O Cyfr

From the Hickey column in today's Daily Express:

CONSERVATIVE HQ is looking for some bright young spark to be its new digital development manager - whatever that is. "The party needs someone to help grow its 'user base' and keep reign over the three main website products - Conservatives.com, Webcameron and SortIt," reports Hickey's girl on the web. "The Advert states that the person must also be able to 'distribute e-mails' - surely a pretty basic thing?"

Re: F.A.O Cyfr

they probably want someone fluent in whatever CMS they run their sites on, something like sendmail, a good basis of their infrastucture(prob Unix) etc. Running 'websites' isn't as easy as some people think.

Re: F.A.O Cyfr

Why on earth would anyone want to work for the Conservative party? Whilst on this subject why are so many young people into the Tories these days?- Could it be that they are too young to remember the horror that was Thatcher?
Come on Cyfr how can you in good faith be both a student and a Tory? Please say it isnt so as I have agreed with a number of your previous threads.

Re: F.A.O Cyfr

I am a Tory, a modern Tory. Today's Conservatives are not fighting an ideological battle like Thatcher was. We won the battle of ideologies and eradicated socialism.

Todays Conservatives are a lot different. They believe in free market, with social responsibility and strong on the environment. It's why im a member, because I believe in the new direction the party is heading, and want to show my support for it.

It's easy to be a student and a Modern Conservative!

A modern Tory, is just an old New Labour supporter, but with a windmill.

Because they pay wages would be a good enough reason for many people.

Re: F.A.O Cyfr

I bet they want a card carrir though so that they believe in the ideoloy that they will be working with.

As Neil said it pays a wage and there will be someone who thinks that it would make nice career change. Regardless of who the employer is any job is better than no job.

Just like judas and his pieces of silver. You might get paid but what happens to your soul. I strongly suspect that you will smoke a turd in hell for eternity for being a conservative.
