Free for all leisure facilities

i dont know if its come in in Hyndburn yet but in BwD EVERYONE can now use the sports centres for FREE....i know it was under 16s and 65 and overs the other month but its now come in that EVERYONE can use these facilities for FREE

we have a thing called a Beez card over here, i applied for mine last week..

who qualifies for free leisure?

Anyone who lives, works, is in fulltime education or whose GP practice is in BwD

i know i'm on about different towns but surely this has come in in Hyndburn by now??

Re: Free for all leisure facilities

Still only free for swimming for the under 17's and over 60's, and free holiday swimming for everyone under 22 during school holidays.

Can't understand this one: '50p Sports centre admission for our Leisure Passport concessionary group scheme members' (taken from Conservative leaflet). Do you have to pay just to go in the Sports Centre, or is it a reduction for Groups using all facilities ?

Re: Free for all leisure facilities

It will probably give you a discount to use the facilities .. there is a passport to leisure in rossendale £2 for the year and everytime you use the facilities for anything its £1.80 instead of the full price .. if you live in rossendale, over 60, on certain benefits, getting work tax credits, disabled, or under 16 ...

Re: Free for all leisure facilities

I understand that the Leisure Facilities are the responsibility of HBC thought not LCC ?
So Rossendale would be slightly different to Hyndburn.

Re: Free for all leisure facilities

I suppose so - different borough.

As far as I know the leisure facilities are run by RBC

I dont think totally free use will be coming to Rossendale
