How sad :(

Tried to get onto the Daisy and Tom website today (the gorgeous shop in Manchester) and got the message that its ceased trading after 10 years.....how sad is that
It sold the most gorgeous things ever-toys,clothes and the best prams EVER.....such a shame.

If no-one else knows what im on about im sure Lettie will-she has seen a close up of the floor

Re: How sad :(

It was a nice shop, was it expensive? It is a while since I have been but if it was overpriced that is probably why it closed down.

Yea it was-but a beautiful shop.I bought Jack some bits from there as a treat.
The designer clothes were quite main stream IMO (most of them) but the toys, furniture and other bits were fab.
As form the prams-i just stood there and gawped for hours.....they had foreign ones too.Oh dear hope i dont get broody so i can buy more lush prams!
This was one of the first prams i liked in there.....not everyones taste, and imagine how dirty it would get

It closed down about a year ago now. I noticed it on the day of the Great Manchester Run last year. I was gutted!! They did some lovely furniture and had a fantastic books section.

Posh and Becks used it a lot. Manchester is always changing, noticed today that the Boddingtons brewery has gone, all thats left is the chimney .

lol wow that has been gone for ages
there was some kind of arguement with boddingtons because for one of there recent adverts they used a stone roses or similar song
they had pulled buisness out of manchester quite suddenly
the mancunians therefor said that if they werent good enough then neither was a song that represented them
or it went something like that

it was the one where he was milking a cow and the song was the one about shakin your melons man lol
eee by gum

The chimmney and a bargain car park.....£3.00 all day, it was £1.00 over xmas. Used daisy and toms quite a bit, it was expensive but had nice stuff, being turned into apartments as we speak.
