You know better than that, kerb weight has nothing to do with you can tow with it. It is down to what the manufacturer say you can tow with it if it is newer than 1998. A lad at work has a Porsche Cayenne, he gets >20mpg on motorway. They tow 3500kg, is that enough for you?
