He has increased the threshold for top rate tax to £43K as well which should keep a few extra people out of teh 40% band.

petrol stations put their petrol up already a few weeks ago , some a lot more than others ( tesco cough) and will raise them again at midnight today so that they can get double the increase and then reduce it in a few weeks to make it look like they are doing us a great favour

its the same with some shops and the ciggrettes they usualy put up teh price of fags then add a few extra pence after the budget as well

The BBC have a Budget Calculator here:

According to this I'm going to be £303.02 better off in the next year.

That was crap it says i would be £129.32 better off next year - yet they have included CTC which i dont get as seperate so no comparrision

Tho that would be for the year £129 so really wont see it anyway cos as he says it'll get taken out of the other hand - like child benefit - which i dont technically get as on IS they minus the CB out whereas everyone else gets it extra

Dave, if only MP salaaries were that low

, add probably what the majority of people in Accy earn to that figure and you will be a bit closer

Thats the reason I couldnt claim IS between my job now and my last one. Because they wanted to go to the CSA but I refused so I wasnt allowed to claim it. Pathetic I know. But I didnt know they did it with CB too, thats crap Mel.

Yes its blumming stupid & a waste of money giving it me in one account then taking it straight off me in another!! Thats what gets me sooo blumming mad
