Well, flashy .. more service stations and matrix warnings about tired breaks, so would not happen now I suppose. Have driven 500 miles many times in a day, and never felt I needed to pull over for a sleep, must be a man thing.. LOL.

OI the load was secure when we set off . (or so we thought . never had a prob before lol. ) and at least we did get off the motorway and took an alternative route just in case it recurred

Credit for taking an alternative route and spotting the load getting loose, many wouldn't have been so observant.

its the only place to be if ya have a mechanical breakdown.

Years ago I used to do a lot of motor way diving, in an HGV and some of the things you see is frightening but laughable at times, I think the worst one was an old guy coming the wrong way down the M4 near Reading, now that really shakes you up
