Writers Attic

Hi guys. I just wanted to share some of the work I have been writing on the internet with you. Here is the link, http://www.fictionpress.com/~blackflights your welcome to post comments on the site reviewing my work. I will warn you all now that there are some very controversial issues in some of my poems that some readers might find offensive (nothing to do with discrimination though) Check out Winter though
even though its short it's really pretty.

Especially the short story "Pain No More" As I read it, I was feeling many of the feelings and emotions that swept through her in her last moments of life ....and I particularly liked the way you touched on the aftermath, especially her mother. nice one black_flights.

You asked for reviews so I assume that you would like negative feedback as well as a pat on the back, On the web site, you make a few short comments about each piece and I note that you use "text talk" to shorten words which many of the older generation find a bit cheap and tacky.

Most of your poems and literature is free from this I was pleased to see, but in the poem "The Girl That Smiled" on the very last verse you used the abbreviation "coz" which for me seemed to take away the magic of your prose.

On a positive note, I enjoyed them so much, I will return at a later date to read more, Thank you.

Re: Writers Attic

If you used "coz" in order for it to scan you could substitute 'cause (with apostrophe) which is a grammatically accepted alternative.

Re: Writers Attic

have you tried getting any published yet ? my girlfriend has had a few published through the international library of poetry and the writers bureau both have websites where you can view all poems and both hold competitions quite often . i've read through quite a few at both sites and yours seem pretty good and good enough to get entered on these sites . My girlfriend hasnt won anything yet but at least getting your work printed makes you feel proud and also some other publishing company may notice your work .Good luck for the future

Re: Writers Attic

I entered a poetry contest and got the submited poem published in a book. The name of which escapes me.
Unfortunatly I couldn't buy it coz it cost to much.
Your work is really good.
It's the first time in a long while that I have actually sat down and read something propperly.
Thank you for sharing them with us.
Keep it up.
One day who knows.
