NEXT MEET 26th MAY
 
I AM PUTTING THIS ON NOW AS ITS ALL SORTED
AND IT WILL GIVE PEOPLE TIME TO GET BABYSITTERS ECT.
THE NEXT MEET WILL BE AT "THE QUEENS"IN CHURCH ON THE 26TH MAY STARTING AT 7-30PM

Those of you who know the queens now they have a nice back room but its NO SMOKING well this will be changed for the meet you will be able to smoke in there.
also there will be real ale on and HOLTS too.
and there will be some very nice butties on i had a cheese and onion while sorting it out very nice too.

MANDY from the stag is behind the bar and looking forward to seeing you all again.

so i hope you can make it and LancYorkYankee will hopefully be over from the USA again so come and meet him

I've just started a new job so don't want to start asking for nights off yet, but fingers crossed it'll fall on my night off. If it does i'll be there.

I start new job tonight so we'll see. I'm not even going to start about New Inn!! :mad:

But I know I work on a rota at new job so fingers crossed it falls on my night off or I can do a swap. As I only start tonight I don't know how they work or how they are about nights off.

Hopefully I may be able to come to this one. I will be working the weekend but, I'm hoping I'm on the back shift so I can nurse a hang over then go to work lol.:D

Sparkie and I will be there, also had a pm from LancsYank, He is gonna bring his 'Harps' with Him and asked me to bring my accoustic along so we could have a bit of a singsong.........I said I would just hope its ok with you guys/gals?

DAG UKCowboy, just sent you a PM to keep that all a secret in case I chicken out. (I am a rather shy guy in person:o):D Now these guys are all gonna expect a :cool:Muddy Waters:cool: rif or my horrendous rendition of the J. Geils Band's Wammajamma!:confused: :eek: :rolleyes: :p

However, as stated in my PM, after a few pints are consumed either they won't care or I won't. I'll just be asked to leave the harps on me next trip over!:p

Im not being miserable, i was just saying that i dont see why a bunch of people of a website should get special treatment. I wont be there unfortunately as a singsong and musical delights from years gone by would have been right up my street.

I have the night booked off but if I was working I would pull a sicky to hear Pete sing. Wild horses wouldn't keep me away.
He's NOT to be missed folks and an harpist as well, my we are being spoilt this month.

Hehehe, we don't get special treatment. We get the sort of treatment that everybody would get if they thought to ask nicely for it. Bear in mind that these meets are popular and well attended. It can be a very profitable night for a landlord who hosts one of our meets with the number of drinks that we get through. It also lends a certain atmosphere to the pub if passers by happen to walk in. If I walked into a pub which was dead, I would be unlikely to stay there and would opt for somewhere busier.

P.S. I'll be at this one, I have the night off..:D

I'm not with it - my tongues swollen cos i bit it down one side and my brains not in gear. If im well enough i'll go but otherwise dont expect me. Im sorry but the brains not in gear and im not talking right. Chavs just been for a brew and he says im not with it.

I'll try Less i cant promise it depends on how im feeling on saturday. With any luck i will be. I know what it is - you want to see the pressie that Mick has for me dont you - either that or you know what the pressie is and want to see my face!!!!:D :D :D

B/ Anne usually turns up to the meets with him and she knows everything he is going to do before he does. :D
