Near Canal St Church are The Cross Guns and the Thorn Inn.
The Queens is on the same street but much nearer the main road (Henry St)

Yes - it was built as the judges lodgings back in the days when Church had it's own court - it overlooks a grassy area
I owned a house overlooking that grass which my son lived in at one time. When I sold it to a chap from Croyden (Surrey) he said that he liked the fact that it overlooked 'the village green'
OK - all Church residents - you can bust your sides laughing at that.:rolleyes:

I really appreciate Mez getting a date so early. I have been looking at airfare and that looks like a good time to be able to travel! I'll know for fairly sure in a week or so.

I do hope the early announcement allows alot of people to be able to get to the Meet.

I do hope to get/stay healthy enough to travel. I fell from quite a height the other day while building a roof extension (ladder malfunction:rolleyes:) Quite to bother. Joshua heard the crash and some of language. My reply to whether I was alright: "well, I don't think I'm dead!":p:p It is pretty amazing I didn't get really hurt. Still pretty sore but hope to get the thing finished and covered before we ever get rain or snow!

Im not drinking and i havent had an alcoholic drink since drinking that absinthe. Now moonshiner promised sarsparilla vodka back in may ........ see i do remember some things not all but some!!!! lol I wont be drinking it though.

Between gas price increases and airline fees, looking like a squeeze to make it over. However, if I could have offers to supply me with all my liquid needs as well as the purchase of Blackpool Rock, Eccles Cakes, Pontefract Cakes (yuck but for me Mum), 4 - 6 dinners of fish and chips, etc. maybe I could make it work.

Okay, here's the deal: As the donations to assist with my upcoming trip "home" have not quite been pouring in, I have a remedy.

You all remember how incredibly popular my little tins of snuff/dip/bacci were in June. Therefore, I hope to pay for my trip by selling said tins.

By my detailed and precise figurations (possibly a George Bush word), if I'm able to sell ~400 tins, at $3 each, I should be covered. However, I must limit these purchases to no more than 20 per customer.

I know this will dissapoint Cashy, Rindy, UK Cowboy and especially Harwood Red, but I do wish that all have a chance to enjoy this tremendous offer!:p

:pLooking very forward to seeing you guys again. I shant tell you the exact time of my arrival as last years' overwhelming greeting at the Manchester airport was kinda embarrassing. Gosh, kinda felt like the Beatles first trip to the USA.:D
