Must agree cashy, I know we've talked about this and know how strong you feel about it. I never actually never went to Chaigley when I was young, but a ot of my mates did, and it was a great place for kids in my youth, I was lucky I went to Blackpool every year with my parents whn I was young, but all kinds weren't so lucky

Your parents. Dragging a kid to Blackpool. That's as bad a case of child cruelty I've heard of in a long while.

There was a time - before stag and hen nights - when Blackpool was an ideal destination for NW families.

Quite right Margaret, on the first week of the wakes, there were queues for the Blackpool Train right down Station Road in Accy, when you were walking down the prom it was like going shopping on Saturday in Accy. There was no such thing as going to Spain in the 40s and 50s it was Blackpool or bust, but if you wanted a change there was always Fleetwood or Southport:D
