I am after a copy in any format of "nature of the beast" lynton Deardon starred and it was filmed in accrington I would pay for the copy obviously but if you have or know someone who as this film please leave a message on this thread and we can arrange something

'Nature of the best' My claim to fame,I was in that film.Only as an extra but I got paid and you can actually see me in it,all be it briefly.I was one of the mob trying to stop people moving the machinery out of the factory on Bath St.

I have looked on the channel 4 website before i've also searched all over the auction sites with no luck but I am hopeful with this site because if anyone is going to have a copy theres a good chance it will be someone in accrington as some people may have taped it just because it was made in their own town

I also rang channel 4 about 8 month ago and asked if I could make a request for them to broadcast it again but they said that it is not possible to make a request but I still keep a look out for it on film four and film four weekly as you never know but I still have my fingers crossed for uncle mick to find his copy then I will be jumping for joy

thats good lol did she tape it off telly ? if so please let us know id be very grateful my aunt still lives near where it was filmed in the woodnook area she's lived there since 1975 but does'nt recall seing the film being made and unfortunately she did'nt tape it :(

so glad you've found the film, just reading this thread has brought back lots of childhood memories of when the production team came head hunting to our school and paul simpson got himself a part alongside lynton deardon.

:D Now then, your not going to believe this ..... but ....... Uncle Mick was kind enough to lend me his Nature of the Beast video yesterday. When it came to bedtime I was so worried that something might happen to the video that I put it under my pillow for safe-keeping. During the night the DVD fairy came and delivered about 20 copies of it!! :eek:

If anyone wants one send me a PM and we'll get one to you, there's no charge for them, just one small condition ;)

The quality of this film is superb :)

We were trying to work that one out by the church in the background. I had a guess at the bottom of Manor St and that the church was St. Johns ......... but I think I'm wrong :rolleyes:

Yeh i thought that cos i remember that being pulled & it does co-incide around time when filming & saw a church spire thinking st johns but i weren't sure cos of camera angle to get clue of something sticking out to confirm will try slow motion:rolleyes:

Well, my thoughts were that some scenes were shot out of Accrington in a nearby town Rawtenstall or Rochdale nr Haslingdon as some scenery does look familiar but not to anywhere in Accy and the pubs location reminds me abit of Green Howarth anyway I hope everyone enjoys it as much as me and my family did and thanks to Uncle Mick, Tinks, and Accymel for the Karma:)

Who'd have thought after years of literally wearing my search engine out in hope to find this film. One Message on here and it comes up trumps, the internet really does work:D

glad to see you all enjoyed the film it's ages since i saw it last.can any of you remember when juliet bravo was filmed in accy? juliet bravo was on one of those uk gold channels the other week so i thought i would watch it on the off chance of it being the episode filmed in accy and it was. it showed woolworths and the old mill off maudsley street and the old market,it all looked very weird but good to see the old accy.it showed the old st johns ambulance place which has now been replaced by the roundabout next to the tax office. i think it was filmed in the early eighties not exactly sure.

Yeah we were reminising over episodes of Juliet Bravo that were filmed in Accrington. There was also Hetty Wainthrope, one of the episodes was filmed up Warwick Close Church.

It was called Flight and was about a young Asian girl fleeing from an arranged marriage and yup was filmed in Woodnook and on Owen Street

Watched the film last night and it was FANTASTIC. I had to laugh at the old bus, my school bus was exactly the same as that.

The run down area where the houses were being pulled down, Ginger said it was Cedar St. ??:confused:

I too thought it was funny when they were walking over the coppice and totally by chance ended up in Ferngore lol. They also ended up driving up the tops of Ferngore just where Green howarth school is.

And did you see all the dodgy wallpaper?? my god that was trendy. And another thing I laughed at was the striped pillow cases and bottom sheets................ come on you know you all had them!!! :D :D

Good idea tinks but we all know including the seller it is unavailable in the public domain, heaven knows i've been looking for it for years hence the shock when I finally got it on Accy web it as NEVER been available on any auction site as I have been searching for years with no trace so it is obviously someone on here or a major coincidence:rolleyes:

Hiya Mick, I had a quick chat via pm with claytonender, I was hoping that the seller would accidentally give more details away in an e-mail, such as signing it with their real name. I wouldn't have hesitated to name and shame them on here had it been a member.

As I said to claytonender, the people that got a copy, most I know personally and they wouldn't stoop that low in a million years. The couple who I didn't know I hope they wouldn't either and that it is just a copy that this person has purchased in Berlin.

I don't think we'll ever get to know now though. :(

Do you think it is worth contacting the person, who placed the winning bid and leting them know the DVD might be dodgy? After all £50.00 is a lot to pay.
Also did you see the seller comments, "This film is a treasure the scenery itself holds alot to desire". I thought that was rather cheeky

What I think is really cheeky is that a member on here has borrowed someone elses property and has put it on e-bay to make a profit. To say I'm disappointed in this person is an understatement! :(

It is bloody cheeky. But if they are selling a copy Item for 50.00 as a original, this is illegal and against Ebay regulations. They stand to be in big trouble really.:mad:
