X Factor (merged)

As suggested cos bb ended lol. Has anyone see tonights X factor??? Hehehehehe Simon Cowell met his match - he got granny bashed & even said the immortal word sorry pmsl:D

There were quite a few contenders for 'totally embarrassing' & 'funniest category' im sure people that go to these auditions & sound truelly awful are either tone deaf or have an over inflated ego:rolleyes:

Looking forward to next week as Simon [again] gets a glass of drenching by a auditionee hehehehe:D oh dear are things going too far:rolleyes:

Re: X Factor

They've already filmed the final.

Don't waste your money voting!

You'll see it at Christmas.

It's won by that guy Jonathon, the nice guy who is his mother's full time carer, and the runner up is the nervy teen.

If you look really closely you'll see me in the front row of the audience behind Sharon 'Rita Fairclough' Osbourne, wearing a tie-dye kaftan and holding up my I love Jonathon placard.;)

Are they going to have a 'celebrity' judge every week?
They could have that geezer Steve who won the first series that no one has ever heard of since.

Were the Glasgow auditions really held in Michelle MacManus's nightie???

Re: X Factor (merged)

ok Leona will go through no problem - Ben he should go through as well.
Macdonald brothers - probably go through. Ray and Eton Road in the sing off. Eton Road should stay.

Resurrected this because Mels no tv!

shillelagh 25-11-2006 20:03

Re: X Factor (merged)

ok i was wrong!!! Eton Road and Ben - Ben to go through

garinda 25-11-2006 20:43

Re: X Factor (merged)

Sad to see Eton Road go. Anthony is like a young Boy George.

Leona, bit boring because she is so lauded with compliments, but she is world class. She could have a career like Barbra Streisand. Amazing vocal talent.

Re: X Factor (merged)

 I tell you, this programme will be the death of me! Silly muppet I was nearly in tears with the sing off last night. No way should it have been those 2. I hate the jock b*****ds with a passion. One song that was delivered exactly as the Proclaimers do it and Simon buckles and said it was good! No it wasn't, they should not still be there and neither should Ray. I tell you the voting public need a slap! Ok rant over :D

Leona no denying she has a good voice, but she's a cross between Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera. We already have these in the charts why would we need another one

Ben, what a gorgeous voice he has! It's not perfect like Leona but God he's good on the ears. If ever a recording contract comes out of this for Ben, he'll have one buyer for his music ;)

shakermaker 26-11-2006 14:43

Re: X Factor (merged)

I don't like this programme one bit, but I am very glad those squeaky little herberts are off the box.
Don't get me wrong, the competition is fine for people who work in B&Q for four quid an hour and can sing like Otis Redding, fair play to them - it's an easy way up the ladder.
But just don't call the tinny pop songs that get released as a result 'music'.
I think Ben's & Leona's talents are wasted with this programme.

Only for so long though, bloody Louie has offered them a contract. In their shoes I'd have been telling HIM to 'go forth and multiply'. They're different, they have potential but I dread to think what Louie will turn them into! I really don't think we need a scouse version of Babzone and Wests*ite!

Sorry I disagree, to me they just sound and look like a Take That wannabe band. Yes they harmonise well & wear Topman's latest threads but is there anything more?
I don't see any real talent there whatsoever.

I would have preferred it if the macdonald brothers had gone through with Ben and Leona. That way there would have been one through for each of them. It should be a straight fight between Leona and Ben. Knowing our luck Ben will get kicked out next week and its going to be between Leona and Ray the final. There'd be no watching Simon then!!!

MacDougal Sisters-
Their best week. Loved Shang-a-lang, so cheesy, but time to go home.

Ray Vonne-
My Way, sang his little heart out. I was wellin' up.

Ben-
Loved the Queen number with the choir. Glad he's through.

Leona-
Can't give her enough superlatives. I adore her. The comparisons with Mariah p*ss me off though, she's way better than that warbling nit, who only made it because she married thew boss of Sony records. Leona could be up there with Streisand, still belting them out in forty years.

shakermaker 02-12-2006 23:52

Re: X Factor (merged)

Leona is brilliant.
Absolutely perfect voice.
I hope that when she wins they give her decent songs which do her voice justice & get rid of the lip warble & the mic shaking. It spoils her performances.

Shang a lang.
Hmm.
Quite a strong vocal performance from them which was a shock.
Though as it is an awful song, and since they looked so god damn awkward when 'performing', it was definitely their time to go.

Oh, come on, if they got to choose there own song it was quite obvious that Leona was gonna choose a Mariah Carey song (i know it was originally Nielson but that is the style she sung it in!!!) I here lots of girls that sing like that on the karaoke in my pub every week!!! Ben was fabulous!!! That is my favourite song ever!!!! (Queen or George Micheal versions!!) and I think Ben was very, very brave to sing it like he did and he certainly pulled it off it was fantastic!!!

Re: X Factor (merged)

Still, it's all been done before!
There's been far too many talented singers ruined by the tinny pop songs & overblown epic covers the record companies give them after 'winning' competitions like this.
No one cares about what happens to the contestants after the competition, it's all about telly ratings.

Can't stand Mickey Mousers at the best of times but to choose that scrikey little turd over Ben is criminal.

He only got the votes because he's a little blubbering wuss. At least Ben was man enough to take it on the chin!

I really hope we hear more of him now the silly glorified karaoke contest is over.

I like Ben, but thought his middle of the road song choices let him down tonight.

He should have sang some soulful Otis Reading, and the speeded up arrangement on the U2 number was dire.

Didnt see it as I was working, did it go down to a public vote or a judges vote?? I think is quite obvious whos going to win now, unfortunatly!!!! I'm backing Ray all the way!

Although saying that, the person whos wins never does any good, in any of these comps (eg Fame Academy, with Lemar & the first series of X Factor with G4) its always the 2nd & 3rd placed who do well! So maybe I should want Leona to win!! LOL!!

Ray cannot sing for toffee, whereas in terms of the competition; Leona is perfect.
Leona should win, but won't because of the overwhelming amount of 12 year old girls voting for Ray the squeaking midget.
