Besides last night's mention of Accrington, this part of the world has been refered to before in Corrie many times.
Snobbish Annie Walker always said she had married beneath her, when she married Jack, because she was a 'Beaumont of Clitheroe'. Bet Lynch, Vera Ducworth, and Fred Gee, have all mentioned Oswaldtwistle, mainly in a derogatory way, to describe a simpleton.:D |
