limp handshakes always make me wary of whoever, as for the kissing on both cheeks greeting, dont bother me, got used to it when i lived abroad.at first i thought it strange, but soon got used to it, suppose its just differant cultures n as i was living there only correct to adopt.;)

Noticed this from a link on another thread if you have 10 minutes to read through it:-

Re: The Limp Handshake.

When I went to the last meet Gary greeted me with a straightforward direct lips to lips greeting (a friendly peck). I was a little surprised but not offended -a bit flattered really that he showed such open affection for someone old enough to be his mum (and we have only met once before)
I suppose this is the way they do things 'daan souff' ;)
I recall that 40 years ago men who wore carpet slippers got labelled as 'softies' by men up here.
I dont think I would like a stranger to greet me with a kiss, not even a cheek peck - perhaps it's just me being old fashioned

Hummph .. what you got that I 'aint .. never had one of those off Gary

Can't say am embarassed at all with the two (or three) kisses thing except if you bump noses or foreheads. Think a little familiar on a first meeting with a complete stranger, but not the second time, especially if male ... :D
