Think you could open the best boozer, nightclub, winebar etc etc in accy or anywhere for that matter , but if the area dont have a decent walkabout area its a dying duck from day one ..
Just my personal opinion btw.....

I've read through what I said and I hate coming over as negative so I apologise.

The problem with Accrington at the moment is that it's in limbo - it's waiting for all the mega investment to start having an impact. It's waiting for the Town Centre masterplan to kick in and for things to happen.

Right, you need something unique to get people back into Accrington. Theres is nothing that stands out, just bog standard pubs.

I think to get a club that will work, you need major cash. Look to what works outside of Accrington. Funny girls in Blackpool, for example is permamently heaving, Tiger Tiger in Manchester. You get an idea that works and you are looking at potential customers from Blackburn, Burnley etc so could make decent money.

I think that the only type of drinking establishment that might turn a profit, is an illegal smokeasy

burnley and great harwood are great nights out and their success is due to the lack of trouble they have , accy on the other hand has been taken over by the scumbags so naturaly anyone looking for a good night out with little chance of getting a bottle in ther face or bashed over the head goes out of town

accrington used to be where everyone came to for a good night out especialy sunday nights , the pubs were heaving wall to wall and trouble was low , now the place is dead as a doornail because people got fed up of trouble and went elswhere

its ok opening a new night club with strict rules and decent plans but if people dont feel happy going around the pubs in the area around the club then they wont just come to accy for 1 good night club

accy was dead on its ass way before the smoking ban came in so the ban is irrelivant

most of the pubs in accy you wipe your feet on the way out
