It only takes one click.......

If you only do one thing today...please let it be this.

I did it and it is genuine.

A favour to ask, it only takes a minute....
* I * 6 * Y
Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is
having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to
meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an
underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site
and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the
middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use
the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for
advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/c...faces?siteId=2
AGAIN , PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS TO TELL 10

Thank You in advance......I know you won't fail!

I received this e-mail today........I know I have friends on Accyweb......so I am asking you to please take a moment out of your day to do this good thing.

Thank you Friends.

I still love you Mrs. Pilkington…….so forgive me for pointing out something that may be obvious. The link as taken me to an American Site….is this correct?

Only I’d like any contribution from us to stay in the UK.

But I have had a little click anyway.......

in the uk mamograms and other medical care is (pretty much) free so anyone that needs one will get one, if i found a lump, even tho i am not classed as being high risk for breast cancer i would be checked out fully despite the fact that i havent got much money

in the US healthcare isnt free and everything has to be paid for which means that people can die from things that would be treated on the nhs here because they cant afford it, it makes no difference where they live, everyone should have access to healthcare.

Ive clicked

Margaret Pilkington 15-10-2008 20:13

Re: It only takes one click.......

Thankyou to all you little clickers out there...now if you can all put it on your favourites and click again when you remember it would be even better.

Yes, Doug....I did know it was an american site, but as it was pointed out by Emamum...we, in the Uk get our healthcare free at the point of need.....this isn't so in the USA.......and breast cancer knows no geograhical boundaries, race, creed or gender.
And if we get the chance to improve someones lot by just a click of a mouse then...heck, let's do it and let the advertisers pay up.

I've added it to my favs too and will click daily. I had to have a mammogram a few months ago:eek:, luckily my lump was a cyst but it was sorted quickly. Could we put this link on Facebook? Would it help to get more clicks? I'm not very good at doing links but I will try if it's allowed.
(Am I allowed to mention FB on here? I go on another forum and it's not allowed ) Apologies if I'm not

I don't use facebook so I don't know....but I am sure that there are others on here who will know.
The other thing I have done is to send it to all my female friends in my address book and I have asked them to do their bit too...every little helps.

Margaret Pilkington 08-05-2011 14:54

Re: It only takes one click.......

No I haven't Cashy....thought if everyone put it on their favourites then they would get into the habit of doing the daily click.
I know I once asked Mick about making October Breast Cancer month...for the picture comps....he told me that the site was reluctant to align itself to charities because they couldn't do the same for all charities.....and it wouldn't be fair.
Which makes sense.

Them where the days Jaysay, when it was quicker for my carrier pigeon.
Or maybe it was an over exaggeration, but yes I was on mobile broadband, flitting around the UK,so getting a good connection was like peeing against the wind.

Always time for the accyweb though, just as now.The mobile hamster did croak it, so I got a gerbil. I would of got a rabbit, but the only like to work underground:)
