Ok hes on his way home ....back to scotland and in carlisles waiting room for the train to edinburgh at 3pm. Theyve given him discharge papers for him to take to his docs which he will do tomorrow morning ... they want him to have a more full series of tests .. and when he gets home he'll come online. Doesnt want to use his phone too much .. the batteries are going on it, the computer he played games on it on the ward last night .. and the batteries dead so until he gets home he cant use it.

Thanks for everything last night .....

That's a nice thing for them to do. Nice they still do care about customer service.

Glad he's been patched up, and is on his way back home.:)

Must admit he was looking tired when we saw him yesterday, we put that down to you draining him Jen', still a night on his own, it's surprising how the body will soon recover from exhaustion!
;)

Thanks for all the messages gang. I am home though not rested thanks to the animals next door and the total opposite of Virgin Trains on Scotrail. I wasnt a 100% on leaving but well enough to travel and sadly was in more pain after being jostled on the train to Polmont than in the hospital.

Will be sending an email of thanks to Virgin Trains as well tonight as they couldnt have done more for me. They didnt have the name of the doctor who looked after me on the train to Carlisle, which is a pity as my thanks go to him as well.

Did you leave your contact details at the hospital? Theres a chance he might contact the hospital just to see how you got on, sure he'd like to know your OK.
There again all this privacy stuff nowadays they probably won't pass it on.
