Green Tea

I don't know if anyone else drinks Green Tea but i love the stuff, i usually buy mine in tea bag form from Holland and Barratt but it wasn't open today and i'd run out, nipped over to B&M to see if they had any, they didn't have the tea bags but they did have some Tetley Loose green tea....for 39p a bag, a BARGAIN compared to what i usually pay, i've never tried it loose before but i do like it strong, get yourselves down there and buy some if you like it :D

I know it is supposed to be good for you, but to me it doesn't taste of much other than boiled water.
Do you drink it just as it is Flashy or do you sweeten it?

Re: Green Tea

I usually put two tea bags in a cup with one sugar, i leave the tea bags in too, it is a bit bitter if you don't add sugar

Re: Green Tea

I like builders tea(I was going to say 'how I like my men'....but to be honest, these days I can take 'em or leave 'em)........hot, sweet and strong....with just a splash of milk.
I'll tell daughter about the green tea though...she likes it.

Re: Green Tea

Me and Reece like strong tea too, i won't buy anything other than Tetley and have to use two tea bags per cup....Tetley 'strong' is no good, its not strong enough and those Tetley 100's are awful

So the truth is out, Flashy our very own bag lady ! :D

Must admit to liking Tetleys too, or Yorkshire tea & for those relaxing occasions Twinnings Chai, a habit I picked up while working with the Gurkhas (funny boogers sometimes throw Cardamons in normal black tea & it's always sweet, right little sugar monsters they are)

Re: Green Tea

I'm not fond of tea bag tea. I prefer loose leaf(and it is getting harder to find).
I used to buy Kenya tea when Booths were in Blackburn, but now I get Asda's loose leaf tea.......they have just changed the blend and it is much stronger than it used to be.

Re: Green Tea

We always use Yorkshire or Tetley loose tea, delivered with the rest of ASDA order.
We only keep tea bags for visitors who prefer them.
I have never tried green tea.

Re: Green Tea

Putting sugar in herbal teas contradicts any health benefits you would have had.
If you must sweeten, use honey or stevia.
One herbal tea that is sweet on its own without additives, is liquorice root.
