Thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement, and thanks Less for making me smile. With people like you lot behind me I shall win and I don't mean the quiz.

Welcome back sue good to hear your on the mend, i have had a brush with the c word when about twenty five still here got the scars to prove it:D You just have to keep on going and beat it. I was just to stubborn and awkward to give in i am a bit like a dog with a bone once i get my dander up.Sounds like they have found it before the bloody stuff could do to much damage, keep your chin up and take it out on the quizzers ,just not me obviously:D:alright:

This one is for Steve Rothwell who has sent me some karma. I wanted to send you a pm to thank you but here are so many Steves in the members list I don't know which one is you so I have to thank you here. Your gesture and kind words were really appreciated.

Well done for the positive attitude, and the honesty about your condition. I wish you well.

Thank you Dave. I wasn't sure whether to post about it on a public forum but have been pleasantly surprised at the reaction. It's easier for me to open up on here to folks I have not met rather than to friends and family here, just as I could talk about it to fellow patients in hospital because I didn't really know them that well. Hope that makes sense.

Makes plenty of sense to me Sue - at times it's easier to talk to someone who is detached from you and your problems, as they are not emotionally involved with you and can see things from a different viewpoint.

absolutely the right thing to do, look on us as your therapist, and a way of getting it off your chest, and yes it makes sense
