I'm sure it is against forum rules to post any PM's after all it would destroy the point of them being called 'private messages'.......and it would be bad etiquette.

Some have tried it in the past and had their knuckles wrapped.

Though of course there are exceptions, if for example someone sent a very rude P.M. then forwarding it to a mod would be acceptable.

As my learned friend (And fellow companion of the hat) has pointed out, the "Deutsche Reinheitsgebote" (German purity law) allowed only certain ingredients to be used in the production of Beer & this has been going on in the "Fatherland" since 1156 I believe. Since that time though the most widely accepted ruling is that of 1516, none of your pasteurised, adulterated, adjunct laden muck here thank you very much! Ve haf vays of zer gettink drunk ja, visout zer nasty extras ja! ;) Incidentally, the normal ABV for a bog standard Pils is 4.8% knocking Brit beers 3-4% average into the shade in general. So if you're out & about swilling your super chilled designer Lager at 4% and 3 Quid+ a pint, I'll merely smile smugly, while supping my "Hauber" (Half litre) at 4.8% costing a piffling €2,80 "PROST! At the same time, the only 'quality control' we had was to send a man around the Inns in a pair of leather trousers, he would pour a tankard onto a bench sit on it for a while and if when he stood up the bench stuck to his breeks the beer was deemed to have too much sugar and the landlord was fined.

Now that's a half assed job I would love to apply for.

Or was it just a myth?
Myth 3: Medieval ale-conners wore leather breeches and tested ale by pouring some on a wooden bench and then sitting in it and seeing if they stuck to the bench | Zythophile

Yes there is ... and while DiG is quaffing his hauber ... sorry, haubers ... I'll be having a few Dead Elephant, a fine IPA at 6.5% ... a great breakfast beer that goes well with a few slabs of peameal bacon:alright: But I have to finish shoveling first ... :D

Just arrived home after a couple of hours in my local sampling their real ale, only 4.2 abv but with a lovely hoppy aftertaste and only £2-50 a pint. I too have ordered ein gross bier on more than one occasion in Deutschland and Austria and have really enjoyed it, (do not drink lager in UK as there is no comparison. If German lager was readily available in the UK, (the proper stuff), then it would be my favourite tipple but as it isn't then I will stick with my real ale falling down juice.:alright:

What a wonderful thread wanderer this has turned out to be. Love it!!!! Started off about the input of members, is covering so many things including private bits, boys playing with their toys, a testicular-loving biter (of the mosquito variety that is), going behind the bush – did a bit of by-passing with mention of loos, booze and some nit-picking, some talk of ‘holding their own’, Latex and kinkiness, an offer from Eric for some of the good stuff, limpness (well limp celery) and now comparing sausages…..

Btw, was going to have sausages for tea but not ‘bleeping’ likely now, think I’ve been put off them for ever!!!!!

Am really enjoying the read (well most of it) – and in my opinion anyone who’s not a member of Accyweb doesn’t know what they’re missing!!!!!!

I think it is just a bit sad that the thread has been hijacked by forum members behaving like primary school boys(no actually the children at the primary school near us behave with more maturity).
The levity has been an attempt to lighten the thread a bit....but all in all it takes away from the thread.
The thread has been spoiled by members who want to snarl and snipe at each other.
Not a good advert for the site.
It is time it stopped....it is getting tedious to read.

Have to admit that there are some good beers coming out of the U.S. of Eh. Maybe it's because U.S. tourists to Canada got the taste for real beer, and when they got home, they refused to put up with the undernourished gnat's urine that the American breweries were putting out;) ... well, it's my theory:D But still, most American beers are still like making love in a canoe.;)
