It appears that they sucked it and put it back in the jar, but they put it in the wrong jar because it ended up in the GERKIN jar.

paint your entire fingers then no-one will know you went out of the lines or use a gherkin or dougs snake might do a good job, however you will need to whip him for the favour. Sod it just remove fingernails with pliers, why are strawberries red with dots?
