Unhappy Farepak Hampers go Bust!!!!

Just been informed that farepak Hampers have gone bust........

People will not be recieving there Hampers/vouchers/pressies ect.....

I didn't get anything from this company this year, but I do usually order gift vouchers through my mother-in-law but not sure which company it's with.
I would have been gutted to say the least as I usually order 600 pounds worth of Gift vouchers.

Imagine all those families that are going to miss out this year now.

Re: Farepak Hampers go Bust!!!!

Blaming heck if i was one of those families i would be ripping especially this close to xmas!!! Its one where you pay in advance weekly all year to get them isn't it???? - even worse!!

Thank god i struggle then doing it as i go lol Besides the hampers are a rip off you can save a few quid in asda/iceland stamps per week in order to ensure a reasonable amount for xmas food without the interest & extra crap things you get in them hampers that you dont like/want LOL

Yeah it is. I usually buy stamps all year from Asda, but pay each week through the year to Mother-in-law to get vouchers.

I would have been gutted if I thought I was all set for christmas, then get informed at the middle of october that actually I wasn't getting anything.

When you pay through hampers you start paying in January each week, then you recieve your stuff at end of october........... So poor people will have nearly paid everything off their things and will be awaiting delivery...

A friend of mine used to do them and order for loads of other people! That sort of thing is going to cause a lot of animosity where people have persuaded others to have one and pay them so much a week.

The thing that annoys me most is that this company stopped share trading two months ago and were still accepting payments last week when they knew they were going bust and I believe their web site is still up and running yesterday thegether with them sending out next years catalogue last week. their just a bunch of cowboys

AWW thats awful Spuggie, hope she sorts things out.

It's awful because on the web site it says " you MAY get some money back, but not all of it, and not for many month's yet"...........

Well that doesn't help these poor people that were relying on these hampers does it. This sort of thing should not be allowed.
