Life's Great Mysteries

Some time ago in one of our adult classes at church we were having a deep philosophical discussion on the meaning of life, the universe and everything. Someone commented that during "The Millenium" we will learn the answers to all of life's great mysteries and invited us to share the questions we would all be desperate to ask. You'd have expected some really meaningful topics perhaps but the best we got were:

Where do all the other socks go?
Why can't you find something until after you need it?
If life begins at 40 why do we have to go through childhood and adolescence?
Who put the bomp in the bomp-de-bomp-de-bomp?
What is the purpose of dust?

Has anyone got any more?

Why is it that in fantasy/sci-fi films the blokes in the body armour get killed off first but the heroic medallian man who's only protection is a shirt open to the naval get's away with just a flesh wound?

(Mind you in the original Star trek series it was always dangerous to be the crew member in the red t-shirt because you knew that as soon as he appeared on scene he was DOOMED!).
