Rhyddings school closed today
Due to the lack of water, Rhyddings will be closed today. Students will return to school on Monday 03 October after the sheduled closure tomorrow.
All sporting fixtures have been cancelled. School is open for staff should they need to prepare for the INSET training. JUST SAYIN

Did they have water yesterday?
The schools are big on attendance and quoting attendance levels as a measure of how good they are. I have never heard them quote a figure for how many days they shut the school when planned to be open though.

Mount carmel has no water now - just had a text closing at 2pm (least got 5hrs peace) & parents to check website tommorow.

We are doing the looking at high school thing for Tom at the moment and I have noticed none of them say "We closed for 6 days last year for snow/water/bomb threat or what ever" but they do say what the pupil attendance was - I think its a government set statistic for assessing schools.
Then again like one of the head's said - kids cant learn anything if they are not in school and I always found having days off school made in hard to catch up on new things.
