16 and cannot find a job

I'm 16 live in accrington and am looking for a job anywhere in accrington. I am struggling to find somewhere where a person without experience could work. I am willing to do most work and should be most capable.

I am hoping an employer of some sort will get in touch or maybe someone can give me suggestions as where to try.

Thanks Ste.

Are you looking for a full time or part time job?

What are you interested in?

A few more clues and someone here maybe able to help or point you in the right direction.

Good luck.:)

Well I think i will be going to college during the days so i will be looking at part-time evening and weekend work. Not too fussy about what type of job as I am doing it to get the money to help while attending college.

Thanks Mani, I will ask.

Thanks Garinda, much appreciated :)

Ossy Mills advertises jobs instore, including part-time ones which may fit in with your studying.

Just a note. In the future your c.v. will be much more impressive to future employers if you've shown the initiative to find work whilst also studying. All the skills you'll gain will certainly help you in the future in employer's eyes.

Once again, good luck.:)

Re: 16 and cannot find a job

I went around alot of shops yesterday,

Home and Bargain
Netto
Bowling Alley
etc.

Just all the typical stores in accrington and none of them are taking on.

Does anyone maybe know a store which is taking on which i may have missed.
I tried ASDA about a month ago and i got a negative reply, is it worth trying again?

Thanks Ste

As mentioned petrol station and also bars / pubs (glass collecting ;) ) and also food outlets such as Greggs are worth trying.

The bars and pubs i have tried all prefer 18 year olds so I stopped considering them.

express gifts starting to recruit their christmas staff and they do an evening shift there so get yourself off to the job centre in the morning.
