could anyone give me any info on the prison services recently its something i have decided to get into. If anyone knows anything or has any experiences in this kind of work it would be greatfully appreciated

You might try this site for some background on prison service.
I knew a guy once who worked in the srevice, he seemed to think it was a good job. http://www.hmprisons.gov.uk/
