nope ... i never nicked the pies ... we got chased going down to the lodges cos we'd sneak through hollands rather than going the long way round .... my mother would have killed me if id nicked the pies .:D:D:D

Great pics. Love railway lines-old or new. Be over soon for a look for real. Not too fond of hlolland's pies though.

I used to deliver chemicals in a tanker to Baxenden Chemicals. I was told the building were originally the old railway yards. Do you know if they were engine sheds, warehoues or part of the station? It seems a way off any railway line, I am sure the old station was down the Grane road which is much lower than Baxenden.

There are a couple of pictures here of the location of Baxenden Chemicals to the railway.

In the first 2 the line runs between the warehouses and the caravans and on the 3rd and 4th picture you can see the railway line in perspective to the Hollands Chimney

Thanks for all the info, I was getting my Baxenden mixed up with Haslingden. Now I can understand the layout of the railway.
