I am glad you use the term "lurry" because as you and I know that was the name originally given to such motors. If you want the photo again I will post it for you. I also have another photo of one of H&B's lurries with the number CW 5397 but funny enough it looks a bit newer and has pump up tyres |
Re: OLD PHOTO's
"No much use" . well, I am impressed.

OLD PHOTO's

Just HAD to go round to see Norfolk Street for myself to see if I was in the correct part of town for photo no. 2
Am wondering, if, because I was born Coppice Avenue, which is in the same area, was I having "flashbacks" to my youth , cos it def looks like Norfolk St to me. What do you think? (AND CAN I JUST ADD, I WAS NOT IN ACCRINGTON IN THE 1920'S!!!!!! |
Re: OLD PHOTO's
Yer as daft as me, Atarah. I spent ages looking at images on street view of Norfolk street and that is the one I came up with. Due mainly to the decoration around the door (can just see a little bit on the old photograph). Clever girl.
Didn't put it up because their copyright guidance is a little unclear. |
Re: OLD PHOTO's
They call her Atarah because she keeps at it - taking the time to go to Norfolk St and matching Retlaw's great photos with the houses she thought they were. Take a bow, girl.

Re: OLD PHOTO's
Hi Retlaw, I am related by marriage to the Wixteds & was wondering which Wixted is missing from the memorial. Are you referring to James Clarence?
