Whoa. You walk some distance.

I did that walk a few years ago in the summer. Is there a gypsy site you pass(something like that?) these dangerous looking guard-like dogs can get through the fence and onto the canal. Made me think twice about walking it again.

Still have & use my Casio (5MP) it's ancient by todays standards but still produces some good Pics. In Panoramic mode there's a shaded/lighter area that overlaps where you should take your next still in the series.

That done you can have a quick scroll in the viewer then work on it at home with the software.

I do tend to ramble about for hours rather than minutes.
If you look at the marina picture (first) on post 17 the green fence you see is the funfair storage site, the name escapes me at the moment. Yes they have a large Alsatian, and it made me jump today as it roared up to the fence, its a good job I was wearing my Tenna Lady pads.

If I was to take this many pictures with my phone I would add 2 hour to that journey.... it can be that difficult to take one

I have you to thank for my current obsession with panoramic photos, I had never entertained it until you posted some.
Having got the hang of it, and there was a lot deleted before I got the gist of what was happening, I can now take one in the time it takes me to pan the camera, it then takes the same time again to process the picture internally.
I don't think I would post that many again in one post as uploading was a pain, thats not counting the resizing of each photo on the computer.

I did have a look to see if my HTC did panoramic shots but it doesn't.

Re: 3D Panoramic Pics

I either get half or 3/4 the way to the end of the panning and it says "grey area" or It just cuts out completely. Havent got the speed down either. It says "pan in right direction" quite a lot, when i go too fast. But when it happens they make great pictures. When it is sunny I again-- I will be taking panoramic pictures up the coppice.

Why resize them. How big(filesize) are they ?

My HTC didn't either. But perhaps there is an app for it?

When posting if you click the paper clip for attachments it opens a window to insert your pictures, if you scroll down it gives file size recommendations. It makes each picture present as thumbnails until clicked on. It makes each picture easier to view

I use Photoscape to resize and process my pics. Its a free download www.photoscape.org

Dave make a photo bucket account. Saves the hassle. Easy to post pics and you have a backup of your pics online

The file size isn't forced to my knowledge

No it isn't, if your file size is to big it gets resized automatically. The advantage is that you can get a number of pics on one post without it filling the page with part of a picture and having to scroll to see it completely.
I can see the advantage of an online account but I backup mine to an external hard drive, horses for courses I suppose
