Re: Accrington?

Perhaps if we could trace the fire-man he could tell us, any-one recognise him?

If we aren't even sure of when let alone where, this makes it a bit harder to pin down doesn't it? I wonder if we can track down the happy chappie and see if he can tell us when it was taken?

It`s not round Accy town centre as I had a wander today. Union Road, Ossy?? By the way the firefighters name is Nick Issherwood.....it says so on his name badge!!

Re: Accrington?

OK, so who is going to call at the fire station and ask if anyone knows Nick Isherwood?

I can tell you one thing, that happy chappie as you call him is a Station Officer in the Fire Brigade. As I know all the blokes at Accy, I've never seen him before.

Hi Atta
Just checked & that Staton Officer is Mick Isherwood, He's The Station Commander at Nelson Fire Station & has been there for over 3 years. Give your mate some stick.

Ah now that may explain things. Maybe the photo was meant as a promo for Pendlelife but got mixed up with the Hyndburn one.

Or just maybe they thought, lets stick any photo in then we can go home early, just like they seem to have done with regards to checking out their links to no-where!

You know, we should have clubbed together and made a website for them, took some decent photos and done an advertising job. It couldn't have turned out any worse and wouldn't have cost us anywhere near the £650,000 so we'd have made a nice profit to spend at the next AccyWeb do (or several).
