Re: dry hair
you have long curly hair, like me?:D
i use frizz ease serum brings me curls out all nice and shiny, and Almost frizz free! |
Re: dry hair
i used to have long hair panther, now its shoulder length, i already use a frizz serum by schwarzkopf, that goes on after ive washed my hair, but that just makes it hard to brush when its wet, i cant go anywhere without using that cos my hairs a total mess
|
Re: dry hair
tried the schwarzkopf one, didnt do out for me, try the john freda frizz ease its expensive but it does work, you put it on the same way. if you dont want to shell out that get the sachets instead to try!
the shampoo i like is dove too, and pantene:D years ago i used to use V05 for curly hair in a gel and that was good but cant find it anywhere now, think it was called pumping curls, not sure though. |
Re: dry hair
the pantene shampoo and conditioner used to work a treat on my hair....i used perfect curls but as i said ive used it for that long now, it doesnt work, i try and avoid straightening it if i can (to chavs amusement)....i cut it all off cos i had a loada split ends, nevermind the rate my hair grows it'll be half way down my back by july :D

Re: dry hair
I use Melaleuca hair product (well I use Melaleuca allsorts) and they do a deep conditioning therapy. It should be £9.49 but I can get it for £6.49. You can only buy it from an agent though, it's not on sale in shops. If anybody ever wants to try any of their stuff I'll get it for you at pc (cost) price.

Re: dry hair
Aussie Miracle leave in conditioner is good.

Brylcreem :)

Re: dry hair
olive oil......warmed and applied to all of the hair.....then wrap in cling film and leave in overnight. Shampoo you hair as normal the following morning....and you should find that this gives you silky locks.
I know it is an imbuggerance to have to leave it overnight, but that works best....if you can't bear to do that then leave the oil on your hair for a minimum of two hours. |
Re: dry hair
I use Andrew Collinge stuff.

that sounds really good actually margaret, i shall buy some olive oil on thursday when i go to town :D thankyou |
Re: dry hair
I hope you find the results worth the effort.
When my hair was long I used to give it this treatment about every six or eight weeks and was rewarded by lovely glossy hair.......you know just like they show on all those tv adverts. I never used the chemical type conditioners. |
Re: dry hair
For goodness sake Flashy !! ... stop p**sing about, pay yer money, lash out on a decent hairdresser .. get those split ends cut out professionally .. they have deep heat conditioning treatement too. Worth the money, and come to the next meet with a head of shining glory (thought it looked ok last time I saw you actually, even though you did cut it yerself :D )
Have to consider, that sometimes, dry hair comes from within, like a lack of a vitamin .. but I 'aint no health guru. x |
Re: dry hair
I tried olive oil once but it made my hair go all limp. A friend recommended baby oil but I've never tried that.
|
Re: dry hair
Some people swear by using a final rinse with your own wee.;)
|
Re: dry hair
Mine is well dry too, always has been. I've always been envious of blonde, straight hair. Mine is wavy, grows outwards, as someone already remarked, was dark but now has more than a hint of grey.
I think the colouring ruins it. Leave that alone for a few weeks and treat it with a gentle baby shampoo and a good conditioner. |
Re: dry hair
stop using straightners or buy that stuff your supposed to spray your hair with first before you use them :)
or dont wash your hair for a week that will let the natural stuff get back into your hair and dirt lol |
Re: dry hair
...or better still shave it off like the rest of the men do:D....start again!!

Re: dry hair
dry hair repair formula: found this thought it may interest you!
INGREDIENTS 2 ounces aloe vera gel 1/2 teaspoon oil (avocado, jojoba, or even olive oil will work) 2 ounces organic apple cider vinegar 1 ounce powdered milk 1. Combine ingredients in a bowl and apply to clean, wet hair. Allow formula to remain on hair for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse well with warm water. Makes enough for 1 treatment |
Re: dry hair
ooooooooooo that sounds good too :D ty

Re: dry hair
Cindy and Annie have recently been using the "Fructice (sp)" shampoo and conditioners. Not sure if you can get it over there. I just use Pert as it contains both shampoo and conditioner together.

Re: dry hair
ive used fructise brian, doesnt do much from my stragley bits :(
|
Re: dry hair
same here, tend to find it drys my hair out even more!
|
Re: dry hair
May be the different type of water. When I use the frutice moisturizer it leaves my hair feeling kinda mooky!

Re: dry hair
My hair is dead dry and looks like a bush. I use vo5 for frizzy or dry hair plus a leave in conditioner and occasionally a serum.

The Olive Oil thing does work - I have done it myself after my hairdresser recommended it.
