my fish is swimming upside down and i dont know why, yesterday morning i noticed that the pump has stopped working, could this be the problem ? i have to get a new pump tommorrow anyway, but i dont know if this is the cause,we have 2 coldwater fish in the tank but only 1 is swimming upside down,

Try putting clean water in a washing up bowl and putting them in that over night until you get a pump. the clean water will have oxygen in...enough for over night.
