Washing Machine help

As The Wifey is away, Its down to me to do all the clothes washing (she should of done it before she went like;) )

Now I usually use the tablet things that you just chuck in, whack a bit a conditioner in the top bit and spin it up.

However we have no tablet thingys only powder.

When opening the drawer there are 3 compartments I presume (well its running now) I have done right putting the powder in the middle one? and conditioner in the left one?

So whats the third one far then on the right.

I know I should just leave it till she gets back.;) :D but need stuff for work and school.:)

well with mine, the left hand one is pre wash, middle is powder and right is softner... but i suppose it depends on the washer!!

Re: Washing Machine help

Powder goes in left one on mine and conditioner in middle. I think the right one is for boil wash on mine where it needs 2 lots of powder. I'm sure it will tell me in the instruction book if I read it :)

turn the washer on first and see which one fils up with water then quickly put your powder into that compartment, the powder usually goes into the largest compartment and fab softner in the smallest, the other one is for the pre-wash

Well it seems to have done the job.

For future reference though.

The Middle Compartment and the one to the right have a flap thing at the end where as the one on the left has no flap thing and like a pump at the end?

Can anyone help me with this one from the above description as to where the powder should go for next time.

Re: Washing Machine help

With mine the powder goes in the left hand one, the conditioner in the middle and the prewash powder in the one on the right.

The thing that looks like a pump, does that lift off to reveal a sort of tube? That is probably your conditioner compartment. The largest one is usually for powder. What's the make and model of your machine?

Its a Whirlpool.

Yes the pump looking thing looks like it would have some sort of tube attached if I forsed it off. has like a flower symble next to it also.

Where as the others are just a flap what looks like it just drops into the back.

WillowTheWhisp 12-05-2007 16:10

Re: Washing Machine help

Yes that sounds like your conditioner compartment. Now these other two with the flaps, is one bigger than t'other?

accymel 12-05-2007 16:11

Re: Washing Machine help

Yeh like mine tho the biggest one is the main wash powder, the next biggest on to the right is prewash [if use it] & the conditioner one is the little one mine has a plastic mint green sieve flap top on.

Have u seperated your whites, coloureds & darks....mr D??? otherwise pink undies are for you heheheheehehe or hope the whites arn't grey:p:D

I think your wifey has given you a nice lesson the hard way hehehehehehe u may appreciate her more when she gets back ..............shes hoping:D

Yes the Middle one is the biggest, although they do seem to end at the same location.

Re: Washing Machine help

That makes perfect sense - they go to the same place but at different times during your wash cycle. The big one is the one for the powder for your main wash. The little one won't come into play unless you set the machine to do a prewash.

There is a few other items though.

A strange contraption in the kitchen near the washer you turn a button and it warms up, turn another and a round metal thing on top gets hot? been trying to google what it is.

And some one mentioned a Iron? Why would you use metal on clothing. :D
